Courtney King (she/they) is a creative, meticulous, and strategic operations professional based in Los Angeles with over ten years of experience in dance programming, community engagement, and arts administration. She excels in project management, relationship building, artist services, and program development, with a strong dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

King has co-founded two organizations, Orchyd and Chlo & Co Dance, where she led projects from concept to execution, overseeing partnerships, public art programs, and digital platforms. Her work spans dance and cultural programming, having produced and choreographed original works and curated festivals.

King serves as President of the Board for Stance on Dance, supporting efforts to elevate underrepresented voices in dance through online content and a print publication. She also actively volunteers with REDCAT as an usher and in the Clothing Closet at the Trans Wellness Center.

King produces a newsletter and podcast, She’s Friendly, which reflects on gender, sexuality, kindness, pop culture, mental health, and the mundane. The accompanying podcast, Friend Zone, invites guests to delve deeper into the themes covered in the newsletter.

King holds dual B.A. degrees in Communication Studies and Performing Arts & Social Justice with a Concentration in Dance from the University of San Francisco and continues to shape her career at the intersection of the arts and social justice.
